Aberdeen-Angus bacon cheeseburgers
With BBQ season arriving, burgers are going to be on everyone’s menu, so what could be better than this gorgeous bacon and cheese Angus burger?
What you’ll need:
1KG of Aberdeen-Angus beef mince
1 egg yolk
150g of bacon lardons
1 table spoon of Dijon mustard
25g of finely chopped coriander
1 large onion finely diced
1 table spoon of olive oil
150g of mozzarella
How it’s done:
Fry the onion in the oil until translucent. Once the onion is cool, add some salt and pepper and mix with all other ingredients except the mozzarella.
Split the mix into 15/20 roughly equal burger shapes, and slice the mozzarella evenly into 8 equal slices. Take one burger, top one side with a slice of mozzarella, then top with another burger and press down and seal the edges so the beef conceals the mozzarella.
Cook the burgers on the barbecue, serve on a toasted brioche bun with salad and sauce of your choice, and enjoy!
