Rawburn lead Stirling female trade at 26,000gns

The offering of Angus females at Stirling peaked at 26,000gns for Rawburn Joy Erica F560 from the Elliot family. Described as Johnny Elliot as THE best female to have ever been offered from the Rawburn home, this March 2006-born Rawburn Extra Edition D285 daughter out of the Ranui Impact daughter Rawburn Joy Erica C213. She carries some of the best figures in the book carrying a TSI of +50 and a SRI of +66 and was knocked down to Gordon Brookes for his Linton Gilbertines herd.

At 8000gns was another from the Elliot family, the March 2011-born Rawburn Ellen Erica L270, a Rawburn Elmer J921 daughter out of the Rawburn Randolph F555 daughter Rawburn Ellen Erica J926. This one sold to Adrian Johnson for his Yearsley herd.

Then at 7500gns was Lakewood Stud selling Lakewood Mossy Princess L124 , born April 2011 this Rawburn Evolution G691 daughter is out of an Elgar of the Moss daughter Lakewood Mossy Princess D015. She was knocked down to Joel Richardson, Northern Ireland.

The draft offering from the Varis herd saw a top call of 3000gns for Varis Pandora H677, a February 2008-born Cardona Julius Eric C225 out of Varis Proud Dora D307, a Lingieston Prime Mover.

Leading price for the offering from David Walker’s draft was Galcantray Betty Bold M580. This Blelack Black Velour F425 and out of a home bred Hurdcott Eurocrat daughter, she sold to Neil and Graeme Massie.

At 4200gns was Belhaven Elderberry K272 from John and Teena Gilmour. This one is an ET-bred Southland Full Throttle 15R daughter out of Young Dale Elba 18L, a Young Dale Kruggerrand 2H daughter. Also from the same home Gordon Gray purchased Rawburn Ebony D288, a Hoff Limited Edition daughter out of Hoff Ebony SC 3330.

Of the embryos on offer, Messrs O’Hara paid 600gns a piece for four grade A Nichols Next Step x Hoff Blackbird 594 5218 eggs, while Highland Wagyu paid the same price for five Red Ter-Ron Reload x Red Ter-Ron Dusty 98J eggs, both on offer from John Elliot.
