The Funeral service for the Society’s chief executive Ron McHattie will be held on Friday September 11th at 12:00 noon in the Funeral Home of William T. Fraser and Son, Funeral Directors, Culduthel Road, Inverness.  All friends respectfully invited. Family flowers only please. Donations welcome for Macmillan Cancer Research and Marie Curie.

It is with great sadness that we announce that as a result of his recent illness our Chief Executive Ron McHattie passed away late last night at home. Our deepest and heartfelt sympathies are with Christine, Laura and Frazer. Details of his funeral arrangements will follow in due course.

The Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society drew in the crowds for its inaugural commercial open day, which was held at Geoff and Vivien Roddam’s Blackcarts Farm, Hexham. The 800-acre tenanted farm is home to 200 Simmental x Luing cows with up to 300 followers running alongside, which are all calved to Aberdeen-Angus bulls.   The emphasis for the day was very much …
