3 BULLS FOR SALE: 1 FULL NATIVE, 2 PART NATIVE

1. FULL NATIVE:
Miss Burgess cow family line – one of the foundation female families of the Aberdeen Angus breed, originating in the mid-19th century. The line is highly regarded for its maternal traits and historical significance within Native Angus. This young bull is from an AI bull from the 1960s – Prince Propel of Addington, so a very rare line to find nowadays, and one we have been very lucky to use on the farm here and have the influence within our herd with some females now as well.

We run a 100% grass based system, and this bull has lived outside his whole life with us, he suits this system well, holding a good amount of condition over winter. Great depth in his rumen capacity, perfect feet and a good temperament – we move the bull group as a mob regularly and he is the quietest to handle. He is rising two years old, so still has some growing to do, and we find the full natives are slower in reaching their full height, so he will having another year or so before he has fully filled out.
We have used him on the heifers here but have other bulls we will be using this coming year that are slightly larger frame size which we require for selling bulls into the dairy sector.

Please get in touch if you have any questions, or for more photos/videos or to arrange a visit.

He will be TB tested before being sold. Any additional health testing we are more than happy to arrange with our vets – additional tests will be at the buyers expensive.

Photos include some of him when he was younger and with his dam who is a lovely quiet cow, super easy calving with lots of length from hook to pin.

2. PART NATIVE
2 x 2 year old bulls for sale, ready for work this spring. Sired by my 7 year old Dunlouise full native bull. Low maintenance grass fed type. Plenty of calves on the ground from the sire. 1 of the bulls has some modern Angus influence, so would make a great bull for someone wanting a bit more frame size. Both are very suitable for low maintenance systems. They have lived outside their whole lives. Currently running with a group of 5 bulls and they are all quiet and used to moving to a new paddock every few days. Weaned last autumn and outwintered as a bull group with just some extra hay when it was very wet. Both have a good history of longevity in the females in their families; the grand-dam of one of the bulls has had 10 calves. Great maternal genetics to be carried through. Traditional type low maintenance Aberdeen Angus.
