The Society has a very strict policy which requires all bulls entered at Official Society Sales to be Sire Verified and Myostatin tested prior to the catalogues being printed. If this information is not confirmed then such bulls cannot be entered into the sale. No matter how good the reason or excuse, there are no exceptions.
It can take more than three weeks from receipt of the hair sample for the result to be verified and then the catalogue has to be printed, which means that samples need to be received up to five weeks before the sale.
The Carlisle Bull Sale is on the Friday 2nd October 2015 so the last date for samples to be received is Friday 28th August 2015.
The Stirling Autumn Bull Sale is on 18th and 19th October so the last date for samples to be received is Friday 6th September.
For those that have yet to take samples than please call Caroline or Fiona and they will send you the necessary kits. Please do not leave it till the last minute as this will only cause frustration and stress which is something we can all do without.
