Kingwood Willa K077 takes Newbury championship

Taking the championship at Berkshire County Show, Newbury, as the weekend under judge Wanda Hobbs was Mike and Jennie Spooner’s cow Kingwood Willa K077. Shown with heifer calf at foot, Kingwood Willow R119, by Netherton Americano. Born March 2010, she is by Kiltariff Dynamic D711 and out of a home bred Netherton Figo C244 daughter. 

Standing reserve to her in the breed classes was Judith and Andrew Temple with their two-year old heifer Temple Psychic Nessie N549, shown with calf at foot, Temple Psychic Resnesme.

Kingwood Willa K077 went on to win the local Aberdeen-Angus championship and the native interbreed cattle championship. Meanwhile, on Sunday Willa won the the local interbeed beef championship, which was judged by Michael Minto.
