Now returning for a third year, the Farm Shop & Deli Show have launched the Farm Shop & Deli Product Awards 2024, in partnership with The Grocer.
The Farm Shop & Deli Product Awards celebrate the best products across the specialist food & drink sector and are supported and judged by leading farm shop & deli retailers, top wholesaler buyers and owners and industry experts. The awards are open only to products that are sold in farm shops, delis, and other specialist food retailers.
A successful product is so much more than just the taste. The Farm Shop & Deli Product Awards are unique as they as they assess the overall business model of products and not taste alone. The panel of judges will be reviewing everything about the product including the full value chain and branding, along with taste, ensuring products are not just great tasting but are well set to successfully sell in the independent sector.
This enhanced criterion enables William Reed to provide important feedback to entrants from leading retailers and wholesalers, as to how their business models compare to the rest of the market, which will be received by way of a report. It also gives credible exposure to buyers across the industry, with supporters such as Cotswold Fayre, Fabulous Farm Shops, Kitchen Food Company Deli & Bistro, Booths and Cannon Hall Farm joining so far. These retailers, wholesalers and industry experts provide value and credibility to the entrants and ensure the awards recognise the very best products within the independent farm shop & deli sector.
2023 saw a high level of entries from across the independent food sector and saw some fantastic achievements from both larger and smaller businesses, many of which were able to display their winning title at the Farm Shop & Deli Show, part of the UK Food & Drink Shows in April 2023.
What’s new for 2024:
- In 2024, the Farm Shop & Deli product Awards will be accepting entries across several categories including: Beverages, Chilled & Frozen Desserts, Chilled Deli, Condiments & Sauces, Fermented & Smoked Foods, Meat, Non-Food, Plant-Based, Preserves, Savoury Biscuits & Snacks and Sweet Bakery & Confectionery.
- All product judging will take place prior to the Farm Shop & Deli Show, part of the UK Food & Drink Shows (29 April – 1 May 2024, NEC Birmingham) to allow winners the maximum opportunity to promote their achievements in the lead up to, and during the exhibition.
