Webinar : Where are we with TB in Scotland?

21.03.2023

TB breakdowns bring a lot of stress and anxiety for those dealing with the impacts on their herd, but also for other cattle keepers reminding them that it could happen to them.

NFUS invites members, veterinarians, and other professionals to join a webinar, Thursday 23rd March 7pm, to hear details of the current veterinary situation for TB in Scotland and what the tests and surveillance results mean for Scotland.

Abi Reader, NFU Cymru Deputy President and dairy farmer will out line her experience of working under the challenges of being in a high TB risk zone and why Scotland’s farmers must do all they can to protect Scotland’s Officially TB Free Status.

Mick Park, Veterinary Lead APHA, will outline the current veterinary situation for TB in Scotland and explain what the test and results from TB mean for Scotland.

Alasdair MacNab, Vice President NFUS and ex private and department veterinarian will put the science into context, explaining what it means for farmers and how we move forward to ensure Scotland’s Officially TB Free status is maintained.

The meeting will be chaired by Hugh Fraser, Livestock Chair NFUS, who will present the concerns of the membership and manage questions from the audience.
