It’s going to be yet another jam-packed year of Youth Development Programme workshops this summer and the full list of workshops across the UK and Ireland has now been completed.

As ever, participants will be able to gain tips and knowledge from some of the industry’s leading stockmen and women, as well as learn and perfect their stockjudging knowledge and reason giving and work towards attending the National Weekend Event in September.

Not only do these workshops provide an extensive list of activities regarding beef cattle health and welfare, nutrition, handling skills and show and sale preparation technique, those that attend will get the chance to be entered in to a prize draw for a pedigree heifer, kindly donated from Kevin Moores’ The Moss herd. More details on this heifer will be announced soon so spread the work about the workshop dates to your friends, fellow young farmers and school and college colleagues.
