Herd Tour & Open Day at Deveron Aberdeen-Angus on Saturday 15th August 2026

To maximise your time in the area, the following day the North-East of Scotland Aberdeen-Angus Club have arranged a herd tour, hosted by Hamish and Margaret Sclater, Denhead Farms, Dunlugas, Turriff, Aberdeenshire, AB53 4NR.

After 30 years of success, the Deveron Herd is to be dispersed at the Stirling October Bull Sales on Monday 19th October 2026.

This open day provides an opportunity to view the herd ahead of the sale.

Established in 1995 by Hamish and Margaret Sclater, the Deveron Aberdeen-Angus herd has become a renowned pedigree herd, known for its strong female lines and consistent breeding, the herd has achieved success both in the show and sale ring.

Notable achievements include:

Overall Herd of the Year in the North-East Aberdeen-Angus Club Large Herd Competition 2023, 2024 and 2025

22 championships at the Black Beauty Bonanza calf show.

Multiple championships at Stirling Bull Sales.

The Sclaters also generously hosted the 2025 Youth Development Programme Finals, marking 25 years of the YDP with a well-attended and successful event.

This is a great opportunity to see the herd ahead of its dispersal.
