The next workshop this year took the YDP team to Gloucestershire to the home of the Melview herd of Paul and Kirsty Westaway where we had 17 participants in action, with many new, young faces among us.
Trainers for the day were Jimmy McMillan who took charge of the clipping demonstration, Nick Hill who handled the halter tying and washing area, Emma McInnes who taught her tricks of the trade in dressing cattle and leading the stock judging and ring craft demonstrations was William Haire.
The sun shone on everyone all day and it was a pleasure to see so many youngsters learning throughout the day. A huge thank you to Paul and Kirsty for looking after us.
Here’s a few images from the day. More can be found by following the Youth Development Facebook page.
