The first of today’s championships at Stirling for the October Sale has gone to the Rennie family with Ardoyne Royal Lavender N231 (lot 111). This April 2013-born heifer is by Blelack Blackrod J160 and is fully home bred on the dam side, being out of the Ardoyne Dropzone E086 daughter Ardoyne Royal Lucy K181. She carries a TSI of +33 and a SRI of +48 and is currently free of the bull.
Standing second to her and, therefore, taking the reserve championship, was Gordon and David Gray and family with Ettrick Rachel N130 (lot 113). June 2013-born, this one is by Rawburn Elmer J921 and out of the Rawburn Mighty Prince D356 daughter Ettrick Rachel J068, herself a daughter of Netherton Rachel A132, who was purchased at the Netherton matron sale. She carries a TSI of +43 and SRI of +58.
Third in this class went to Tom rennie with Mosston Muir Elma N331 (lot 106), a Mosston Muir Innes H202 daughter out of a home bred Blelack Lord Hornblower A243 daughter.
