The first major sale of Aberdeen-Angus bulls in the Republic of Ireland of 2017 saw a top call of €4800 for the 17-month old bull, Liss Bartle R560 exhibited by John McEnroe, Liss, Oldcastle, Co. Meath.
This one is by Hf Rebel 53Y and took the reserve Aberdeen-Angus championship honours in the pre-sale show, under judge John Appelbe, Clonakilty, Co. Cork. This bull boasted five stars across both the terminal and replacement ICBF index and is out of a homebred dam, Liss Biluri J1044R.
