Yesterday’s female champion Skaill Diana P998 (lot 285) from Colin Davidson has sold for 5000gns to H W Angus. Born April 2014, this one is a Skaill Doublea Willieboy K392 daughter and is out of the Blelack Blacked J160 daughter, Skaill Diana M613. She sold PD’s in calf to Rawburn Boss Hogg to H W Angus.

Just prior to that the second placed heifer from the first class sold at 2400gns. Carlhurlie Lussanne P001 (lot 284) from Rae Grieve is by Wedderlie Posse H567 and is out of a home bred Penguin Eldorado F254. Buyer here was Ardyne Organic Farms, Argyll. 

The next class winner and reserve female champion Carlhurlie Elite P036 has been knocked down at 2800gns. This one is a Skill Dido K309 daughter and sold to Stuart Thomson, Blairdrummond, Stirling.

The best female so far from the Wattie family, Tonley Emiline P119 (lot 292), has gone at 4000gns to YDP enthusiast Andrew Adam, Newhouse, as a foundation female for his herd. By Tonley Emmerson M869, she’s out of a Tonley Pepe J627 daughter.

Then topping the haltered female section at 7500gns was Comlongon Jody R043 from Colin Rodger. This Liley elder M073 daughter was reserve heifer calf champion at the Winter National Show and was sold to Adrian and Penny Johnson for their Yearsley herd.
