Massie’s were at the top of the first class of juniors with Blelack Dynamite N201 (lot 279), another Pershore son, this time out of a Royal Added Value 19D daughter Ballyheather Dolly Z682. This one carries a milk figure of +21 and a SRI of +53. Second to him was the Arnott family with Haymount Gastessa N379 (lot 280), a Skaill Darkness L460 son out of Haymount Gastara K058. Third was John Steel with with Cardona Proud Icon N924 (lot 275), a Cardona Edwin K663 a son out of an Eastfield Fusilier D373 daughter.
The next class saw the Brown family take the red ticket in class 14 with the Blelack Evermore J231 son Drumdow Primera N005 (lot 281) out of The Moss Mr Espresso D400 daughter, while second place went to the Wattie family with Tonley Policeman N999 (lot 290), another by Evor and this time out of an Auldehouseburn Karlos D218 daughter Tonley Princess K701, dam of previous champion Pato. Third here went to Whittaker and Co Farms with Haughon Erocco N101 (lot 285), the reserve male champion from the Highland Show. This one is by Blelack Egotist K531 and out of the Blackstock daughter Blelack Evora H044.
Then taking the red ticket in the next class was one half of last night’s reserve champion pairs, Haughton Exclamation N102 (lot 296), a Blelack Blackrod J160 son out of a Flodden bred daughter, a former show heifer. This one also carries a SRI of +54. Second here went to Ewan brewis with Eastfield Juggernaut N559 (lot 302), a Halbeath Kansas L429 son out of a Rochester daughter, meanwhile in third place was the Haughton team again with the second half of the reserve champion pairs, Haughton Prime Minister N103 (lot 297), this time a Hallington Evo L333 son.
Then in the penultimate class, Seonaid McLaren was at the top with Netherton Kelso N768, a son of The Moss Mr Eshton D409 out of Netherton Karama E368. This one has been a successful show bull for the McLaren family taking the calf championship at the Summer National last year as well as winter championship tickets this year. Second place went to the Tilson’s with Wedderlie Pretence N890 (lot 305). This Nightingale El Paso J489 son is out of a Wedderlie Black Boss E950 daughter and carries a SRI of +45. Third here went to the Arnott’s with Haymount Wivesso N426.
The last class was won by Alison Cuthbertson with JAC Power Cruiser N027 (lot 323), a Mac Elvis K085 son out of a Blelack Kanasta Lad G191 daughter, while in second place was the Massie family with Blelack Peter Potter N254 (lot 321), an Egotist son out of a Blelack Black Velour F424 Galcantray bred daughter. Third place went to Haymount Ettesso N432 (lot 317) from the Arnott’s with another Skail Darkness son.
