NADIS publishes a monthly Parasite Forecast for farmers and livestock keepers, based on detailed Met Office data. The Parasite Forecast outlines the parasitic challenge facing cattle and sheep in the different UK regions. This month’s webinar focuses on the Fluke Forecast, roundworms in lambs, worming of sheep pre-tupping and cattle at housing.

Many dairy herds have now been housed after the grazing season and increased standing times on concrete can be a risk for sole ulcer development. Early lambing ewes will also be coming into their third trimester of pregnancy, so now is a good time to review their nutrition to prevent pregnancy toxaemia. In this webinar, James Aitken, of Orchard Veterinary Group in Glastonbury discusses these two important conditions and how best to treat and prevent them.
