We had a great day yesterday at the National Beef Association’s 2017 Beef Expo at Stoneleigh Park, which we’re delighted to tell you was rounded off with the Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society receiving the award for Best Stand! So we got a lovely trophy to bring back to the office with us.
It was a really positive day on every level, where we got to meet with and catch up with a lot of people that we haven’t seen in a while. Present on our stand was President Alex Sanger, Society Vice President Angela McGregor and Aberdeen-Angus breeders Rob Bishop and Alex McLaren who brought along a selection of their cattle and helped prepare the stand for the evening before.
We also had a couple of Aberdeen-Angus cross-steers from Richard and Judy Fountain, Wilmslow Bucks to complement our live display.
Hannah Baldwin was also there to help out on our stand. Hannah is part of the UK and Ireland team for the World Angus Forum youth competition, and it was great to have Hannah there to help tend to the cattle and encourage people to stop by at our stand, while also selling raffle tickets for the youth team and manning the tea urn!
Society Junior Vice President Paul Jeenes joined us a little later on in what was a brilliant day, with a real buzz around the Aberdeen-Angus stand, not to mention the brilliant hospitality.
Here’s a selection of photographs that we captured from the day:
