The Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society has announced the resignation of Barrie Turner as Chief Executive.
Robert Gilchrist will be acting Chief Executive, working alongside the Presidential team, comprising Alan Cheney, Angus Stovold, and Finlay Munro.
Robert is well placed to lead the Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society, previously joining the Society as Breed Development Manager following extensive industry experience. He will continue to focus on delivering against the 10-year plan, growing membership, and on the breed becoming increasingly dominant in the BCMS registrations data.
The Council would like to reiterate it is business as usual for the Society and members won’t experience any change to the running of the organisation. Please continue to direct any member queries to your local Council member. The website also contains a wealth of useful information and the team at Pedigree House are always on hand to support members.
The Society AGM will be held in February, where, as usual, the Council and Presidential team are elected.
