This year, the Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society along with Quality Meat Scotland is sponsoring the Interactive Beef Demonstration in the main ring at AgriScot.

With the effect that agflation has had on input costs over the past year, suckler profitability is under even greater pressure. Coupling this with the ever present external focus on cattle emissions, resource use efficiency needs to be a clear focus for the future.

To that end, this year’s demonstration will be interactive with students from SRUC Oatridge leading Aberdeen-Angus cross cows around the ring with the audience being asked to estimate cow performance measures.

Gavin Hill and Lesley Wylie of SAC Consulting and Robert Gilchrist of the Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society will be leading the discussion at 11:30am in the main ring next Wednesday 16th November.
